Downlink

A satellite link in which signals from satellites in orbit are transmitted or retransmitted to ground stations or other receiving terminals on the ground. See also uplink.

Meanings of Downlink

1. The transmission of a signal from a satellite to a receiving station on Earth, or the means for such transmission.

2. The transfer of data from a network, usually wirelessly, to a user.

3. Transmission of a signal from a satellite to a receiving ground station.
